The United States Department of Justice (DOJ) approved the T-Mobile and Sprint merger worth $26 billion. The news comes after over a year of regulatory uncertainty and the Federal Communications Commission has signaled that it will approve the deal. This is good news for the region and California since T-Mobile plans to open a "Customer Experience Center" in Kingsburg which would create more than 1,000 new high paying jobs and contribute $105 million to the local economy. The merger will also bring similar call enters to other cities and the expansion of existing call centers.
